Vila Promenade and Town Center
gratuitoThe small town center of the Vila (the village center of Porto de Galinhas) brings together shops, restaurants, bars and the craft fair on a few streets by the beach. It is the meeting point for people staying in the Vila or coming from other beaches to have dinner, buy souvenirs and stroll at night.
The main streets are Beijupirá, Rua das Piscinas Naturais, known as Rua das Sombrinhas, and Rua da Esperança, which concentrates beachwear shops, snack bars and grocery stores. Some stretches are pedestrian only. Praça das Esculturas has the colorful sign with the beach's name, installed by the city government in 2015, and sculptures by artist Gilberto Carcará made from coconut palm trunks and roots, including chickens, seahorses and turtles.
Activity picks up in the late afternoon and at night, especially on weekends, holidays and school vacations. Shops usually stay open until 22:00 and restaurants until 23:00. The Porto de Galinhas Craft Fair, on Rua Beijupirá, usually opens 14:00 to 22:00, and there are free music performances on a small stage on the same street.
If you arrive by car, Rua Caraúna is a good reference for street parking. Paid parking lots charged R$ 20 to R$ 100, depending on the length of stay and the season (October 2026).
