Tide table of Porto de Galinhas
In Porto de Galinhas the tide is not a meteorological detail: it defines if there are natural pools that day, what time the jangada leaves and how much sand is left for walking.
How to read the table
There are two low tides and two high tides per day, with a lag of about 50 minutes every 24 hours. The useful window for the natural pools is the interval around low tide. In practice, from about 2 hours before until 1h30 after low tide, varying with the beach and the moon phase.
During new and full moons the tides are spring tides: the low tide is lower and the pool is shallower and clearer. During quarter moons, the variation is smaller and the reef may not dry out enough on some beaches.

Weather and tide forecast day by dayThe table shows the high tide and the low tide of each day, with the expected height in meters and Pernambuco time (UTC-3). The lower the low tide, the more the reef dries and the easier it is to reach the natural pools. Source: Tábua das Marés 2026, DHN / Brazilian Navy, Porto de Suape station.
