Methodology and sources
This portal exists to help you choose better. This requires checking each piece of information before publication and clearly indicating when it is incomplete.
How we verify
Each place is surveyed beach by beach, with name, category, location, contact and price range. The information is cross-referenced with official sources, public records and open sources before publication.
- 01Survey by beachEight beaches covered one by one, across four categories: eating, staying, doing and services.
- 02Every piece of information is checkedWe consult official sources, public records and open sources before publishing.
- 03Official sources firstTides, opening hours and addresses come from official sources. The rest comes from named external sources, with a date.
- 04Review and correctionAnyone can flag an error. Every accepted correction updates our database.
Where each piece of information comes from
1Official sourceThe Brazilian Navy (DHN) tide table, official opening hours and public addresses.
2Identified external sourceRatings from public platforms or the venue’s own site, with the date we consulted it.
3Seen on the groundChecked on site by the people who write the portal, with no public document to show.
4We don’t know yetWhen reliable information is missing, we say so clearly instead of estimating.
Sources we use
CommercialSponsorship doesn’t move the orderPaid highlights are labelled and go through the same checks as everything else. The order is decided before any commercial agreement.
LeadsThe contact goes straight to the operatorBefore the form you see who will receive the request. We collect name, contact, date and party size, and nothing else.
CorrectionsA flagged error is a logged errorEvery accepted correction updates our database.
What the assistant does not do
×It doesn’t invent tide times, prices or availability.×It doesn’t estimate distance or duration without a source.×It doesn’t assign its own score to a venue.×It doesn’t recommend an operator because of a commercial deal.×It doesn’t make things up outside Porto de Galinhas: it says it doesn’t know.×It doesn’t hide that you are talking to an AI.
