Beijupirá Porto de Galinhas
R$$$Beijupirá Porto de Galinhas is the restaurant that gave rise to the Beijupirá group. It opened in 1991 on Rua Beijupirá, in the heart of the Vila (the village center of Porto de Galinhas), and pairs fish and seafood with tropical fruits and Pernambuco sweets.
The restaurant is run by visual artist Adriana Didier, who calls its cooking style mixira, a Tupi word for mixing. Dishes include the Beijupitanga, a fish fillet with cashew rice and pitanga (Surinam cherry) sauce, and the Beijucastanha, fish with cashew butter, spinach rice and flambéed potato. At the Brasil Sabor festival in May 2026, the Camarão Tropical, served in a pineapple, cost R$ 112. In the 2026 Boa Lembrança collection, the restaurant's dish is the Bobómanga.
The restaurant opens every day from 12:00. The decor brings together Pernambuco handicrafts, fruits and flowers. The group has other restaurants on the coast, including Beijupira Muro Alto and Obara Beijupira.
