Ponta de Mangue Beach
gratuitoPonta de Mangue Beach is about 9 km north of the center of Maragogi (AL), next to Antunes. It has coconut palms, a calm sea at low tide and natural pools on the reefs offshore, visited by speedboat. It suits couples and anyone who wants a natural pool trip that boards right on the beach.

Getting there from Porto de Galinhas
The center of Maragogi is about 85 km from Porto de Galinhas, 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours by car on the PE-060. Ponta de Mangue is about 9 km north of the center. The last stretch to the beachfront is a dirt road. The speedboat tours board right on the beach, and getting there is up to the visitor.
Hours and admission
The beach is public and free to enter. The time of the pool tour changes with the tide. In October 2026, the shared speedboat, for up to six passengers, cost R$ 130 per person, and children up to 5 years old sitting on a lap did not pay. Since February 2025, the city government has charged an environmental fee of R$ 7 per person on boat tours.
What to see
The Ponta de Mangue Pools, divided into north, middle and south, are in ICMBio's inventory of attractions in the APA Costa dos Corais. The speedboat tour spends about an hour at the main pool and around 40 minutes on a sandbank. On the beach, low tide forms sandbanks for long walks, and there are beach kiosks such as Entremares and Mão Divina Beach Club.
Before you go
- Facilities are basic, with few kiosks and restaurants.
- Do not touch the corals and do not feed the fish.
- Check the tide table before booking the tour.
- Since March 2026, a municipal law has banned commercial jet ski tours in Maragogi.
